Amish Experience Visit-In-Person Tour

Overview
Many visitors to Lancaster seek out meaningful personal contact with the Amish community. Imagine visiting three Amish properties where our longstanding relationships allow you to become their guests during your stay. This exclusive tour is limited to 14 guests, and provides the rare opportunity to meet and talk to various Amish where they live and work. The three stops: Visit an Amish farm at milking time, go behind-the-scenes with an Amish craftsman, and then sit and chat with an Amish family right in their home.

I strongly recommend the VIP tour (which in this case means "visit in person", not what you thought). A little bit pricey if you are taking your whole family with you but worth every dollar without doubt. The most valuable part? The live Q&A experience. Ask a ton of questions - and receive sincere answers. Be prepared to abandon some misconceptions and stereotypes.

It was our first visit to Lancaster. We had a great tour guide, Kent, who is very knowledgeable. He shared with us his personal experience on life and living with the Armish people. Enjoyed the bus trip, theatre, schoolhouse, house tour and buggy ride. Totally recommend this to everyone.

The tour was really well organised, interesting, informative, and value for money. Thoroughly enjoyed learning about the Amish way of life and being driven around their community. This was our sole reason for visiting Lancaster and it did not disappoint. Our guide was really friendly and informative. He has built a long lasting personal relationship with many Amish families and therefore had first hand experiences of their way of life. This enhanced the experience because he would tell you about his own experiences. I would definately recommend this if you are in the area or passing by.
