Many visitors to Lancaster seek out meaningful personal contact with the Amish community. Imagine visiting three Amish properties where our longstanding relationships allow you to become their guests during your stay. This exclusive tour is limited to 14 guests, and provides the rare opportunity to meet and talk to various Amish where they live and work. The three stops: Visit an Amish farm at milking time, go behind-the-scenes with an Amish craftsman, and then sit and chat with an Amish family right in their home.

We only did the Amish Classroom /House tour and a quick buggy ride. The tour was absolutely fascinating, very educational and well worth doing. We did a short buggy ride and I can’t remember the driver’s name, but he was very open about the Amish way of life and answered all our questions. We also drove through a farm where we had a quick stop and were able to buy some biscuits. I can't compare it with the other Amish attractions of the same ilk, but we certainly enjoyed it and found it very interesting. Furthermore, we stayed in the on site hotel which I can also highly recommend, making this experience very convenient to visit.

The Amish Experience was surprisingly educational and very well organized. The guides we had for the day, Dan and Bernice were not only a wealth of knowledge, but entertaining and likable! They made you feel like you were part of the community. The best part was that our bus tour guide, Bernice, has a relationship with many of the locals and was able to share so much more with us about the Amish culture. Great visit!

Linda was our tour guide and took us to a lot of interesting places and told us the history and customs of the Amish culture. We passed by a wedding and was amazed at how many black carriages there were parked on the farm. After the tour we watched the movie, had lunch (be sure and try the corn chowder), visited the schoolhouse and farmhouse replicas and then went on our horse and buggy ride. We enjoyed every minute of the experience and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to know more about the Amish.
