This exclusive tour is limited to 14 guests, and provides the rare opportunity to meet and talk to various Amish where they live and work. The three stops: Visit an Amish farm at milking time, go behind-the-scenes with an Amish craftsman, and then sit and chat with an Amish family right in their home.

This is up there with the top ten favorite things I've done in my life. Beth was our tour guide and she was the best. Very informative, relaxed and friendly. We visited a dairy farm, a canning business and then we were invited into a delightful Amish family. We could ask them about their way of life and it was so interesting and fun. I cant say enough wonderful things about this experience. Just don't miss out - its worth every penny!!! And ask for Beth - you'll be glad you did.

Best 3 hours my wife & I have spent on a vacation in some time. Visited an Amish Dairy Farm and got chat with the young couple who ran it (Henry & Mary), then spent time at a Toy & Furniture Factory/Storefront operated by an Amish gentleman (John) who took us through his operation and business model, and finally spent nearly an hour with a bunch of young Amish people led by Samuel who answered any questions our small group had about their day to day life (filling in for their folks who had a community commitment that night). Each of our hosts was gracious and open, giving all of us in the group better insight into Amish life. We could have easily spent several more hours. Great experience. ALSO Hats off to our tour guide Joe who gave us background and additional. Information while we made each stop in our trip. He also helped facilitate the discussion during any lulls in our conversations with our new Amish friends. His knowledge and approach enhanced our experience. This is a very worthwhile tour.

As one of our first stops in Lancaster, we (mom, dad, and three tween girls) really enjoyed The Amish Experience. First, we watched (and thoroughly enjoyed) the brief multimedia presentation, "Jacob's Choice." What a wonderful blend of technology used to set the atmosphere, while telling the story of a much simpler way of life associated with firm beliefs and convictions! Next, we went for the school and farmhouse tour. While some might downplay its authenticity because it is a staged setting rather than an actual home of a real family, it definitely serves the purpose of enabling the visitor to picture themselves as a part of this lifestyle. Finally, we enjoyed a magnificent meal in the form of the Amish Farm Feast at the on-site restaurant, Plain & Fancy. I highly recommend all three! At a future visit to Lancaster, we hope to try the V.I.P. tour.
