Amish Experience Visit-In-Person Tour

Overview
Many visitors to Lancaster seek out meaningful personal contact with the Amish community. Imagine visiting three Amish properties where our longstanding relationships allow you to become their guests during your stay. This exclusive tour is limited to 14 guests, and provides the rare opportunity to meet and talk to various Amish where they live and work. The three stops: Visit an Amish farm at milking time, go behind-the-scenes with an Amish craftsman, and then sit and chat with an Amish family right in their home.

We had out of town guests visiting and wanted a "real" experience not a tourist "gimmick". After researching, we chose The Amish Experience and booked the VIP Tour. This is the real deal. Total interaction with families and business owners. Our guide, Art, was extremely knowledgeable and made sure the tour was a 100% amazing experience. The tour is about 3 hrs. Tour bus starts loading approx. 10-15 min til 5:00. Enjoy the experience!

This was our first visit to Lancaster and we weren't sure what to expect. The Amish Experience Super saver Tour is definitely worth the price. We did all in one day with a break in the middle for lunch at their restaurant. The brochure say to leave between 3 - 3 1/2 hours to complete everything... I would add an additional hour on to that to allow for waiting for the buggy ride. All of our tour guides were informative and cared deeply about the Amish. This is something that we will do again!!!

My mother and I visited Lancaster end of May 2014 from Niagara Falls Canada, and stayed at The Amishview Inn, really nice place and staff were very friendly and eager to assist. My mother has a walker and we were not sure about the bus tour, but it was a great experience. Anna was out tour guid and she made it a tour we will never forget. She pointed out things that you would have never found on your own and made us feel like very welcome. She is very knowledgeable about the Amish culture and shared some personal stories. I can not thank her enough for giving my mother a trip of a lifetime, at 75 years old she says this is a vacation she will never forget....Thanks again Anna, hope to see you again real soon...
