Many visitors to Lancaster seek out meaningful personal contact with the Amish community. Imagine visiting three Amish properties where our longstanding relationships allow you to become their guests during your stay. This exclusive tour is limited to 14 guests, and provides the rare opportunity to meet and talk to various Amish where they live and work. The three stops: Visit an Amish farm at milking time, go behind-the-scenes with an Amish craftsman, and then sit and chat with an Amish family right in their home.

If you have ever wondered about the Amish way of life then you need to take The Amish Experience ( VIP Tour ) visit in person Tour. You get to see up close how they milk there cows, what crafts they make to supplement there income and you get to meet a Real Amish Family and ask them questions about there life and how they deal with and yet use some of todays technology to there advantage? You travel in a small bus to each place and you will find all of the driver very knowledgeable. Our driver Joe told us a lot about the Amish life style and what to expect before we got to each place. It was a very enjoyable evening and I would highly recommend you take the tour if you are in this area and have the time. John T

Amish Experience We (myself and the wife) did the Super Saver deal and we loved it. Started off with the House Tour with DeAnne which is a must see! You get to learn a lot in short space of time and DeAnne was great, answering our many questions and telling us about other local spots to visit afterwards like the Gordonville Book Store, she was always happy to help. Next we did the Theatre experience which was great too! Not just a screen with a video but an immersive environment and story. We then took the 90 minute bus tour around the area and Bill W, our driver, kept the commentary running and again answered all our questions and was really knowledgeable. We drove past 2 weddings, a few Amish schools at recess time and stopped at a local Amish run store where he and Daniel, an Amish boy running the shop, had a good friendship and banter. Bill also stopped briefly at a covered bridge to let us take some photos from outside the bus as it was quite quiet at our time of year. After lunch at Plain and Fancy (we've written a separate review for this) where we stuff ourselves solid on a shared table with 6 of us, we then went onto the included buggy ride of Aaron and Jessica's. Ruben was our driver and he again was great. (separate review). All in all we really enjoy the whole experience and would recommend it if you're interested in the Amish community.

We took the evening tour with Art and it was a great experience! We visited a amish farm, an amish wood shop and and amish home, all where we got to see first hand what their lives are like and got to interact with the amish in person. There is no better way to see what the amish are like and about. Art was very knowledgeable about the history of the amish and Mennonites, he's even written his own book on the Mennonites which he ended up giving me a copy of at the end of the tour. If you want an up close experience with the amish, this is your tour!
