Amish Experience Visit-In-Person Tour

Overview
Many visitors to Lancaster seek out meaningful personal contact with the Amish community. Imagine visiting three Amish properties where our longstanding relationships allow you to become their guests during your stay. This exclusive tour is limited to 14 guests, and provides the rare opportunity to meet and talk to various Amish where they live and work. The three stops: Visit an Amish farm at milking time, go behind-the-scenes with an Amish craftsman, and then sit and chat with an Amish family right in their home.

The extensive amount of knowledge gained about the Amish way of life. The sincerity of the AMISH people we met, and the values the instilled in their children

All of it was our favorite. Starting with Ms. Sharon in the office with all her smiles and wonderful personality, and then Mr. Jim (tour guide) being so informative and pleasant. We made 3 stops. David King's dairy farm, Samuel's woodworking and nice laugh, and then the highlight of being invited into Michael and Mary Fisher's home to speak open and candid about anything and everything. What a great family!!! I recommend this V.I.P. experience.

The in-home visit with "Sarah" was really more about HER asking US about US when what we came to see/hear was HER Amish life. We couldn't care less about the stories of the other people on the tour, we came to learn about the Amish. When re-directed, Sarah just went back to asking US about US. The bus driver Beth seemed irritated at some guests and questions. The Dairy Farm tour was not very good. We just walked around the area and the wife giving the tour talked very low and didn't really explain much. Visually it was very enjoyable but even at the "home market" the wife seemed aloof.
