Many visitors to Lancaster seek out meaningful personal contact with the Amish community. Imagine visiting three Amish properties where our longstanding relationships allow you to become their guests during your stay. This exclusive tour is limited to 14 guests, and provides the rare opportunity to meet and talk to various Amish where they live and work. The three stops: Visit an Amish farm at milking time, go behind-the-scenes with an Amish craftsman, and then sit and chat with an Amish family right in their home.

I love cows, so the best part for me was visiting the dairy farm. It was so nice to see so many family members working together.

I highly recommend doing all tours The Amish Experience offers. I have done them multiple times especially the V.I.P tour. The tour guides...the people you get to meet on the tour and Clinton are all very nice. I've met some of the nicest people doing this tour. Each time I come to the area I try to get at least 2 tours in...sometimes 3.

This is our third time of doing the visit in person tour. Each visit, this is our favorite activity. On each trip, we learn something new about the Amish and the families that we’ve been able to sit down and visit, we find that they’re just as interested in us, as we are in them. I would highly recommend doing this tour. On our last trip, our adult son went on the tour with us and agreed that was his favorite thing from the trip. Even though the shows that we attended were excellent, they just don’t compare to this experience. With all of the tour guides that we’ve had were very knowledgeable, Ken is our favorite! Many of his close friends are Amish so he has first hand knowledge of how the Amish live.
