Amish Experience Visit-In-Person Tour

Overview
Many visitors to Lancaster seek out meaningful personal contact with the Amish community. Imagine visiting three Amish properties where our longstanding relationships allow you to become their guests during your stay. This exclusive tour is limited to 14 guests, and provides the rare opportunity to meet and talk to various Amish where they live and work. The three stops: Visit an Amish farm at milking time, go behind-the-scenes with an Amish craftsman, and then sit and chat with an Amish family right in their home.

We were taken to three places on our visit a farm and a home and a business. It was very interesting to see the life of the Amish. We visited it in 2018. Our driver was informative. Visiting the home or Daudi house was my favourite the lady was very interesting and was well worth the visit

Excellent value, if you have no previous Amish experience. This is a an immersion tour so it makes sense to search the internet and read Wikipedia about Amish in advance, so you don't ask obvious questions during the tour. Superb tour guide with up-to-date involvement with the local Amish community (our guide was Ken). Entire experience may feel overwhelming and produce a lasting impression, just riding the tour van back to your car in twilight (no central electricity in Amish country, and assuming your tour starts at 5 PM) is an indication of what you will experience. The best part is encountering Amish people and understanding how different they are with enjoying their lives
