This is definitely the tour to take to interact and learn about the Amish! We were able to really talk with them in an unhurried manner. Our tour guide Joe was a wealth of information. I especially enjoyed going into their homes and just sitting around asking questions

The three Amish families was actually three Amish people. I was hoping for a little more in depth narrative from the guide. Although he talked a lot about the Amish rules, he never mentioned the Ordnung.I had to ask about Rumspringa. He also never mentioned Bundling. It was my fault for not remembering to ask about these subjects. All in all I was not disappointed and I would recommend the tour.

Dear Jan_Peg986, We are glad you enjoyed your tour. I'm sorry to hear that certain subjects like Rumspringa were not mentioned. However, the Ordnung is not something we bring up often. And bundling is a process that has pretty much disappeared from the Amish way of life. Only a few of the more strict settlements still do bundling. So that is definitely not something we bring up. But thank you again for your kind review and we hope to see you again!

The VIP Tour was great. We really experienced how the Amish live. Our guide Joe was very well informed and told us a lot. We visited three places: farm, wood worker and family at home. We could ask all questions we wanted and felt very welcome. We also did another tour: the visit of a (modell) school and home. Nice and different Information, so do both! Jim was also a good guide.
