What To Expect
1
Navajo Nation
Travel through one of the most biodiverse stretch of highway from Flagstaff at 7000 feet, the Navajo Nation, and the red rocks of Glen Canyon before arriving at Horseshoe Bend
2
Horseshoe Bend
Next, it's off to Horseshoe Bend. Take an approximate 0.75-mile (1.2-km) hike that brings you to one of the best overlooks. At a point not far downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam, the Colorado River meanders around a rock promontory, creating the horseshoe-shaped loop beloved by visitors and photographers from around the world. As you approach the edge, take in the wonderful view. Please note: You'll hike a total of 2 miles (3.2 km); comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.
3
Glen Canyon Dam Overlook
Enjoy amazing views as you enjoy a picnic lunch at Glen Canyon Dam Overlook.
4
Antelope Canyon
At Antelope Canyon, follow your Navajo guide through a narrow slit in the earth where youā€™ll see the sculpted sandstone cliff. Sunlight from overhead creates shafts of light that pass into the canyon, making it even more beautiful. Descend ladders into the depths of the canyon to discover more of this serene place, and take photos with help from your guide about using the right settings on your camera for the light and the best angles for taking interesting shots. Antelope Canyon is a photographers dream.

Our tour guide was enthusiastic, personable, and knowledgeable about not only the destination, but also the history and geological formations along the route. He went above and beyond to cater to the various needs of our group. Pickup was in our hotel lobby, where he returned us right on schedule. Make sure to ask for Trent. The walk to Horseshoe Bend was a little taxing physically, but Antelope Cave far exceeded our wildest expectations. Stairs are a little steep in places, but manageable even for older folks. Photos are great but they fail to capture the out-of-this-world feeling that you experience winding your way from one stunning chamber to the next. Make sure you bring hiking boots, sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of memory cards for all the photos you absolutely MUST take while taking this spectacular tour. This was far better than our Grand Canyon tour.

Me and my family had a wonderful time during the whole trip, our tour guide Jennifer Barnes, is highly recommended. She kept us well informed during the trip, from the ecological system to the history of the area to the very end. Always willing to help and answer your questions. She was so nice. The trip is totally worth it.

We did this tour yesterday and canā€™t stop taking about how amazing it was. Check in at Grand Canyon Adventures was fast and easy. Our guide, Scott, was friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the area. Snacks and drinks were provided in the van. The audio system was clear which allowed us to hear all the info Scott was giving us. We were given just enough time at Horseshoe Bend to take in its glory and snap some pictures before heading to Glenn Canyon Damn for a lunch of sandwiches, chips, fruit & pasta salad. The icing on the cake was our tour of Lower Antelope Canyon. Words cannot describe its beauty. Grand Canyon Adventures had made all the arrangements for our tour in the slot canyon. You must have a Native American guide to enter as it is located on the Navajo Reservation. A relaxing drive back to Flagstaff after a stop at a trading post in Cameron to stretch our legs and get fry bread. Thanks Scott for an amazing day!
