What To Expect
1
Navajo Nation
Travel through one of the most biodiverse stretch of highway from Flagstaff at 7000 feet, the Navajo Nation, and the red rocks of Glen Canyon before arriving at Horseshoe Bend
2
Horseshoe Bend
Next, it's off to Horseshoe Bend. Take an approximate 0.75-mile (1.2-km) hike that brings you to one of the best overlooks. At a point not far downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam, the Colorado River meanders around a rock promontory, creating the horseshoe-shaped loop beloved by visitors and photographers from around the world. As you approach the edge, take in the wonderful view. Please note: You'll hike a total of 2 miles (3.2 km); comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.
3
Glen Canyon Dam Overlook
Enjoy amazing views as you enjoy a picnic lunch at Glen Canyon Dam Overlook.
4
Antelope Canyon
At Antelope Canyon, follow your Navajo guide through a narrow slit in the earth where youā€™ll see the sculpted sandstone cliff. Sunlight from overhead creates shafts of light that pass into the canyon, making it even more beautiful. Descend ladders into the depths of the canyon to discover more of this serene place, and take photos with help from your guide about using the right settings on your camera for the light and the best angles for taking interesting shots. Antelope Canyon is a photographers dream.

This was the most incredible tour we have done! Scott, our driver and was informative, friendly and fun! It was a small group of us that became friendly on the bus ride (very comfortable newer bus). Scott even stopped at a scenic overlook where we also shopped Navajo arts from craft booths set up there. Horseshoe Bend was spectacular. Even though we had seen photos online, it was breathtaking in person. Scott even acted as photographer for our group. We had a flavorful picnic lunch in the shade at Glen Canyon Dam before heading to Lower Antelope Slot Canyons. Magnificent tour with Jarrin from Dixie Tours - he helped us with spectacular photography, even showing us tricks on our iPhone for the best pics. I can't say enough about Grand Canyon Adventures and Dixie Tours!!

The guide provided extra information about the history, landscape, geology and rules of the area and Navajo nation. He was great. COVID Safety standards were strict and abided, which provided safety to all. Our trip was cut short because of rain on the Lower Antelope Canyon. The company provided options and/or refund. Our group chose refund. It was quick and easy. Next day we went back up and had a wonderful day, knowing all the bits and pieces that the guide provided. Would recommend this!
