Travelers must be able to walk 1.5 miles (2.5 km) over uneven surfaces to participate in this tour

What To Expect

Navajo Nation

Travel through one of the most biodiverse stretch of highway from Flagstaff at 7000 feet, the Navajo Nation, and the red rocks of Glen Canyon before arriving at Horseshoe Bend

Horseshoe Bend

Next, it's off to Horseshoe Bend. Take an approximate 0.75-mile (1.2-km) hike that brings you to one of the best overlooks. At a point not far downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam, the Colorado River meanders around a rock promontory, creating the horseshoe-shaped loop beloved by visitors and photographers from around the world. As you approach the edge, take in the wonderful view. Please note: You'll hike a total of 2 miles (3.2 km); comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.

Antelope Canyon

At Antelope Canyon, follow your Navajo guide through a narrow slit in the earth where you’ll see the sculpted sandstone cliff. Sunlight from overhead creates shafts of light that pass into the canyon, making it even more beautiful. Descend ladders into the depths of the canyon to discover more of this serene place, and take photos with help from your guide about using the right settings on your camera for the light and the best angles for taking interesting shots. Antelope Canyon is a photographers dream.

We had a great experience with Grand Canyon Adventures. Antelope canyon is incredible and we also enjoyed Horseshoe Bend and Glen Canyon Dam. The whole day was well thought out and our guide Beck was wonderful. We are so glad we chose this company for this experience.

Such a fun experience. Our guide, Garrett, was extremely knowledgeable, professional and did a fantastic job with the tour. Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend have incredible views! The lunch provided was also very good. Highly recommend this tour. Will be sure to book through this company again for a different tour when I’m back in the area!

The company Grand Canyon Adventures was amazing! We did the full-day Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon tour. Our guide, Jordan, was a great driver (it is a long van ride) and entertained us with facts and history along the way. The drive is long but was the most beautiful part of our Arizona trip! Both attractions were great and going with a tour group like this was great because we didn’t have to worry about driving on mountain/desert roads, or gas, or anything! The van felt safe, clean and airy. The best part: I could enjoy the view from the van bc I did not have to worry about driving. They handle it all and packed a large lunch and plenty of snacks, lemonade, soda and water. This is a great way to see some of the most beautiful parts of Arizona.
