Horseshoe Bend
Next, it's off to Horseshoe Bend. Take an approximate 0.75-mile (1.2-km) hike that brings you to one of the best overlooks. At a point not far downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam, the Colorado River meanders around a rock promontory, creating the horseshoe-shaped loop beloved by visitors and photographers from around the world. As you approach the edge, take in the wonderful view. Please note: You'll hike a total of 2 miles (3.2 km); comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.

Glen Canyon Dam Overlook

Antelope Canyon
At Antelope Canyon, follow your Navajo guide through a narrow slit in the earth where youā€™ll see the sculpted sandstone cliff. Sunlight from overhead creates shafts of light that pass into the canyon, making it even more beautiful. Descend ladders into the depths of the canyon to discover more of this serene place, and take photos with help from your guide about using the right settings on your camera for the light and the best angles for taking interesting shots. Antelope Canyon is a photographers dream.

What a day we had! Marcia, our driver and guide was so personable and gave us so much information about Flagstaff, Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. I thought the visit to the Grand Canyon was wonderful....this day trip to Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend was phenomenal! Grand Canyon Adventures were fantastic! Thank you for such a memorable experience! Denise M.

This tour was simply amazing. Our tour guy Trent was fantastic, knowledgeable and he definitely made us feel like family. For anyone who is looking for a tour, the Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon and Lake Powell was simply beautiful. The natural beauty you get to experience during this tour is definitely worth the money. The Antelope Canyon, no words can describe how beautiful it is. It is beyond surreal. Pictures are just pictures. It is so cool to see these natural wonders in person. What an amazing adventure my husband and I got to experience together. I would definitely do other tours with this company.

I enjoyed this trip and highly recommend it. I would definitely book this excursion again. Our guide, John, was on time as we were his first pick up. It was a small group of about 8-10 people. John, being of Native American ancestry made a few pit stops where we could purchase wares and souvenirs that would support the local native tribes that lived in the region. He was also a Geology major and as such, was able to explain the Geography and typography of the locations that we visited. He really knew the land and the customs of the people that lived there. I DONT recommend this excursion for people that have mobility issues or are claustrophobic because there is a 1 mile hike on uneven terrain to get to the Horseshoe bend site in order to take pictures AND you have to hike back up to the van. The ground is sandy and uneven which is why I also recommend HIKING BOOTS. John provided us with ample supply of water and lunch. He had a mobile water refill station in the back of the van as well as umbrellas to keep us cool and hydrated. We then moved onto the next point of interest which was Antelope Canyon where we were handed off to a local tour guide. He fixed our cameras for us where we would take the BEST shots. There are alot of steep inclined ladders and stairs on the Antelope Canyon excursion and I am recommending Hiking Boots here as well. Antelope Canyon was nothing short of spectacular and beautiful. Antelope Canyon was definitely my favorite and I WILL book this trip again with Grand Canyon Adventures if Im in town.
