What To Expect

Navajo Nation

Travel through one of the most biodiverse stretch of highway from Flagstaff at 7000 feet, the Navajo Nation, and the red rocks of Glen Canyon before arriving at Horseshoe Bend

Horseshoe Bend

Next, it's off to Horseshoe Bend. Take an approximate 0.75-mile (1.2-km) hike that brings you to one of the best overlooks. At a point not far downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam, the Colorado River meanders around a rock promontory, creating the horseshoe-shaped loop beloved by visitors and photographers from around the world. As you approach the edge, take in the wonderful view. Please note: You'll hike a total of 2 miles (3.2 km); comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.

Antelope Canyon

At Antelope Canyon, follow your Navajo guide through a narrow slit in the earth where you’ll see the sculpted sandstone cliff. Sunlight from overhead creates shafts of light that pass into the canyon, making it even more beautiful. Descend ladders into the depths of the canyon to discover more of this serene place, and take photos with help from your guide about using the right settings on your camera for the light and the best angles for taking interesting shots. Antelope Canyon is a photographers dream.

Really great day out from Flagstaff to Horseshoe Bend, Glen Dam and Antelope Canyon. The guide, John, was excellent - lots of local knowledge for the ride up. All three stops were superb, with the best saved til last. Had enough time to take way too many pictures of the stunning rock formations.

Our family of 5 LOVED this tour! Our tour guide, Trent, was terrific. He shared interesting facts/information about the landscape which helped pass the time. Van was extremely comfortable and the lunch was really good. Really good. Horseshoe Bend is breathtaking; Glen Canyon Dam fascinating; and the Lower Antelope Canyon is an experience we'll never forget. Unbelievably beautiful and much more personal than the Grand Canyon. We hiked down into the slot canyon (great for teens where they we doing not just looking) and were able to take amazing pictures. Our guide even helped us with camera settings so we could get just the right shot and light. Highly recommend this tour.

Jen was a terrific guide-so knowledgeable and upbeat! Great to not have to drive. The lunch was delicious-LOVED that bread! Jen was promptly at our hotel in the morning, explained the day ahead, and off we went. Jen provided great pointers that really helped us enjoy the day. Thank you!
