What To Expect
1
Navajo Nation
Travel through one of the most biodiverse stretch of highway from Flagstaff at 7000 feet, the Navajo Nation, and the red rocks of Glen Canyon before arriving at Horseshoe Bend
2
Horseshoe Bend
Next, it's off to Horseshoe Bend. Take an approximate 0.75-mile (1.2-km) hike that brings you to one of the best overlooks. At a point not far downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam, the Colorado River meanders around a rock promontory, creating the horseshoe-shaped loop beloved by visitors and photographers from around the world. As you approach the edge, take in the wonderful view. Please note: You'll hike a total of 2 miles (3.2 km); comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.
3
Glen Canyon Dam Overlook
Enjoy amazing views as you enjoy a picnic lunch at Glen Canyon Dam Overlook.
4
Antelope Canyon
At Antelope Canyon, follow your Navajo guide through a narrow slit in the earth where youā€™ll see the sculpted sandstone cliff. Sunlight from overhead creates shafts of light that pass into the canyon, making it even more beautiful. Descend ladders into the depths of the canyon to discover more of this serene place, and take photos with help from your guide about using the right settings on your camera for the light and the best angles for taking interesting shots. Antelope Canyon is a photographers dream.

What a wonderful day trip. We booked through Grand Canyon Adventures in Flagstaff. Our guide John was polite, knowledgeable, and kept the 2 hour drive interesting and entertaining. He has a passion for the area and he made sure we all had a wonderful time.

Jen made our day trip to Horseshoe Bend and the Lower Antelope Canyon amazing! We could not have asked for better weather or a better guide. All day was informative and had us looking forward to what was ahead on our trip. Grand Canyon Adventures was super easy to work with and has great customer service. Thanks again to Jen and crew who made our day a memorable one and capped off a trip we will always remember!

We had perfect weather for our tour and it was "the best day ever!". Our tour guide, Drew, who freelances with Grand Canyon Tours, was full of information regarding Arizona terrain, native American culture, canyon and Colorado River facts. It made the driving portion of the tour pass quickly. Lunch was at Glen Canyon Dam (similar design to Hoover Dam). Sandwiches were good and fresh, salad and fruit as well as snacks and water were provided. The landscape of Horseshoe Bend was very interesting, but then Antelope Canyon was just indescribable. Even though I had seen pictures of it, being in the slot canyon was just amazing. On the surface you have no idea that this "world" exists below. Our Navajo guide, TJ, was an expert photographer, able to get the most interesting angles and taking photos of everyone so you can show your friends and family that you were there! Would definitely recommend this tour!
