Navajo Nation
Travel through one of the most biodiverse stretch of highway from Flagstaff at 7000 feet, the Navajo Nation, and the red rocks of Glen Canyon before arriving at Horseshoe Bend
2
Horseshoe Bend
Next, it's off to Horseshoe Bend. Take an approximate 0.75-mile (1.2-km) hike that brings you to one of the best overlooks. At a point not far downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam, the Colorado River meanders around a rock promontory, creating the horseshoe-shaped loop beloved by visitors and photographers from around the world. As you approach the edge, take in the wonderful view. Please note: You'll hike a total of 2 miles (3.2 km); comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.
3
Glen Canyon Dam Overlook
Enjoy amazing views as you enjoy a picnic lunch at Glen Canyon Dam Overlook.
4
Antelope Canyon
At Antelope Canyon, follow your Navajo guide through a narrow slit in the earth where youā€™ll see the sculpted sandstone cliff. Sunlight from overhead creates shafts of light that pass into the canyon, making it even more beautiful. Descend ladders into the depths of the canyon to discover more of this serene place, and take photos with help from your guide about using the right settings on your camera for the light and the best angles for taking interesting shots. Antelope Canyon is a photographers dream.

A totally amazing natural wonder, we took a private guided tour to the edge by a Navajo family who ownes the land to the left, and were treated not only to a beautiful site but also to a lot of history of the land and the town of Page Arizona by our tour guide who's grandfather owned the land. Totally amazing, just dont be afraid of heights, because you can go right to the edge with no railings if you like.

Antelope canyon, Lake Powell and Horseshoe Bend are all MUST VISIT locations if you are in the area. Itā€™s a full day trip (8am - 6pm) but well worth the time. Maggie was our guide and there were (only) four customers. I think the max per mini bus is 12-14, so itā€™s a nice small, private tour. Maggie was outstanding. She spoke as she drove and covered a vast range of topics from Navajo history to nature. She is qualified to do multi day treks in the Grand Canyon and knows the whole area in detail. We visited Antelope in the morning, then Maggie set up a picnic lunch beside the dam on Lake Powell. We then went to Horseshoe and on to a Navajo trading post. Maggie knee the best photo spots and was happy to take photos. We had a delightful and truly awesome day.

Walk a kilometer in a sandy rocky terrain but the excitement and pulse will leave you with the Breathtaking Grandeur of the Horseshoe bend. Its like nothing you could have seen before. the adrenaline will pump, teh scare of heights may just come faster or the urge to fly like an eagle. Most poeple will lye and prop over teh edge to see a 2500 ft drop and a few small boats sailing, creating waves behind. Red rocks and Black green Waters, you wonder how each of those million years scratched the cliff, Earth at Its best and magical.
