What To Expect
1
Navajo Nation
Travel through one of the most biodiverse stretch of highway from Flagstaff at 7000 feet, the Navajo Nation, and the red rocks of Glen Canyon before arriving at Horseshoe Bend
2
Horseshoe Bend
Next, it's off to Horseshoe Bend. Take an approximate 0.75-mile (1.2-km) hike that brings you to one of the best overlooks. At a point not far downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam, the Colorado River meanders around a rock promontory, creating the horseshoe-shaped loop beloved by visitors and photographers from around the world. As you approach the edge, take in the wonderful view. Please note: You'll hike a total of 2 miles (3.2 km); comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.
3
Glen Canyon Dam Overlook
Enjoy amazing views as you enjoy a picnic lunch at Glen Canyon Dam Overlook.
4
Antelope Canyon
At Antelope Canyon, follow your Navajo guide through a narrow slit in the earth where youā€™ll see the sculpted sandstone cliff. Sunlight from overhead creates shafts of light that pass into the canyon, making it even more beautiful. Descend ladders into the depths of the canyon to discover more of this serene place, and take photos with help from your guide about using the right settings on your camera for the light and the best angles for taking interesting shots. Antelope Canyon is a photographers dream.

we spend 6 days between Page and Flagstaff ,we took a day tour to visit the canyon and horseshoe bend ,what an experience. We spend an other day to visit Monument Valey ( the second time) and we finished the visit to the Grand Canyon. all this in a short period of time an it will be remembered for ever.

Antelope Canyon is amazing! The colors and textures - wow! The Navajo guide we had, Darryl, was great at pointing out the best picture shots, including what settings to use on cameras or phones. Often he would take our cameras and take the shot, including us in it. (Much better than selfies!) Our tour guide, Brad, was very knowledgeable, especially about Native Americans - both ancient and modern, as well as the geology and history of the area. We first stopped at Horseshoe Bend - very scenic, (and full of tourists from many countries). There is now a railing in place, so you can get close to the edge without fear of at falling. We had a picnic lunch, and plenty of water and snacks. Brad was very good at stopping for bathroom breaks (at Cameron Trading post), and after Antelope Canyon, we went over to Glen Canyon Dam (where the Grand Canyon starts). I heartily recommend Grand Canyon Adventures. We had actually started the tour the day before, got to Horseshoe bend, and then Antelope Canyon closed due to threat of flash floods. (Our guide that day, Scott, was also knowledgeable and great.) The company offered either a full refund, or a re-book. We choose re-book and I'm glad we did, as Antelope Canyon was worth two days. It was interesting being with 2 guides, as they had different interests.
