Additional Info
  • Specialized infant seats are available
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • The electric bikes will take all of the hard work out of your ride. We routinely have riders that span the spectrum of age and fitness. The main requirement is that you be coordinated and fit enough to balance a 55-pound bike. A training and practice session is provided at the start of each tour. For people that would like to go on the tour but are not able to balance a bike, it is possible to arrange a ride on the back of one of our stretch cargo bikes that will be driven by another person in your party.
  • Legally, you must be 16 years or older to operate an electric bike. Guides reserve the right to request proof of age of any rider. Riders should also be at least 5 feet tall to operate their own bike. Guests younger than 16 may ride as a passenger with an adult in their group on the back of one of our cargo bikes or in a child seat (for children ages 1-6 or up to 48.5 pounds).
  • Tours are subject to favorable weather conditions. If there is light rain in the forecast but none at the start of the tour, we will decide together at the time of the tour whether to ride. We will provide rain ponchos and rain covers for the storage bags on the bikes to protect your belongings. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.
  • Pets are not allowed on tours, please contact us with any questions or concerns.

My family of 4 took the Flying Bike tour on a sunny but chilly morning. The guide was very helpful in getting everyone set on their bikes and demonstrating how they work. When we left the site we were told the ride was ~9 miles long and would take about 3 hours. This proved to be true. However, the bikes are so good, there was virtually no effort when riding them regardless of the hills. And while learning about Ashville was interesting, the whole thing could have been done in about 90 minutes. Either that or do more actual bike riding. I would recommend this to others wanting to get a better feel of what Ashville has to offer, but don't plan on getting any actual exercise!

This is an activity you don’t want to miss. Our guide started out providing us (4 in our group) with instructions on the bike and time to get comfortable with the bike. Unfortunately one in our group (me) was less than comfortable and decided not to go on the ride. But no... our guide provided another option!! He had a bike with a back seat that he could put me on and off we went!!! The ride through Asheville was amazing and our guide provided stops along the way providing highlights and information. We felt safe as we wove our way through the city and neighborhood streets. The bikes were new and well maintained. They update their tour path regularly so each experience can be a new adventure!! Would do again and will make sure friends and family are informed of this great opportunity.

Amazing! Even in the bitter cold snap in April, Terrin was an amazing guide and historian. He loves Asheville and it shows. We not only got scenic tours but a lot of history too! And the bikes were so much fun. 1st time on an electric bike and I loved it. A must when visiting Asheville.
