Nathan is a professional portrait photographer by trade, which is something you’d be hard pressed to find on any other Aurora tour in the Fairbanks area. He has 9 years experience as an engagement/wedding photographer. Other tours offer “free portraits” but not to the level of expertise that Nathan will provide, he uses controlled supplemental studio lighting to achieve unmatched quality and sharpness with techniques he developed over 7 years of painstaking practice, specifically in aurora portraiture. We also provide you with complementary gear to help keep you warm and safe: insulated over boots, hand/toe warmers, headlamps, ice crampons for traction, water bottles etc. But what everything boils down to is great photos. The photos speak for themselves and we want to get you some of your OWN!! Not only will you have a top tier photographer as a guide but Nathan also has more than 20 years of Alaska backcountry artic survival skills and offers expertise in all things Alaska adventure.

If you’re looking for a photographer while in Fairbanks, Nathan is the ONE! We booked with him last minute and I couldn’t be happier. He went absolutely above and beyond with his work. The adventure tour was so much fun, the hike wasn’t too bad at all, and once you get to the location, he sets up a cozy tent with hot cocoa and treats. Oh and if course, his photography skills are incredible. He is so talented and captured the absolute best shots. 1000% recommend!!

Anybody coming to Alaska to see the borealis lights needs to have pictures taken by Nathan. Incredible photos, great personality and fun to be around.

The best tour! rich pizza and especially the Auroras; that night the lights were simply magnificent. They pass you to your Hotel and likewise take you back, Nathan tries very hard to find the best place to see the Auroras and take the best photos, unlike other tours that charge you per photo, on this tour you can take the ones you want! and they are super professional. The dynamics of flying the Chinese lamps are also very nice to conclude the night. Undoubtedly the best Tours and the best nights of Auroras! I'd do it again.
