What To Expect

Barton Springs Bike Rentals & Tours

Customers arrive at Barton Springs Bike Rental & Tours 15 minutes prior to tour start time. They will then be fitted to a pedal-assist electric bike, and go over the operations and safety. The tour begins by heading towards the famous Barton Springs Pool and Zilker Park area. Up next is the Stevie Ray Vaughan Memorial and the Bouldin Creek neighborhood. Then head into south Austin to check out the "Greetings from Austin" and the very popular " I love you so much" murals. The breathtaking views of the Austin Skyline from South Congress will lead the tour into downtown. Here the customers will ride through the town heading towards the Congress Bridge, home of the bats, & state capitol. Halfway through the tour, we do stop for coffee/ snacks (not included) at a local Austin spot. All bikes are included in the price as well as water during and after the tour. Helmets are required. Make sure to bring comfortable shoes for bike riding and your camera for all the great photo opportunities.

We had such a fun time on this tour. Because it was ACL weekend my fiance and I were the only ones on this tour. This allowed us to really interact with the guide. He was able to take us places that are normally not on the tour due to time constrains. Our guide was very knowledgeable about Austin and was even able to give us a list of places to try since we are new to the city. Would suggest this tour for anyone looking to learn more about the city.

Tour gave a great overview of the city. We covered a lot of ground in 3 hours. I felt like I saw more than if I would have gone on bus tour. Our tour guide Chip was knowledgeable, flexible, and entertaining. Must be somewhat athletic and ok with biking on different terrains, although the motorized bike makes it much easier and allowed us to move faster than we would on a regular bike.

Our guide Jacob did a great job of showing us the city in 3 hours. We would never have found the trails and all the spots by ourselves. The bikes were in great shape and Jacob and the staff were super friendly. We would recommend Barton Spring Bikes to visitors.
