What To Expect

Barton Springs Bike Rentals & Tours

Customers arrive at Barton Springs Bike Rental & Tours 15 minutes prior to tour start time. They will then be fitted to a pedal-assist electric bike, and go over the operations and safety. The tour begins by heading towards the famous Barton Springs Pool and Zilker Park area. Up next is the Stevie Ray Vaughan Memorial and the Bouldin Creek neighborhood. Then head into south Austin to check out the "Greetings from Austin" and the very popular " I love you so much" murals. The breathtaking views of the Austin Skyline from South Congress will lead the tour into downtown. Here the customers will ride through the town heading towards the Congress Bridge, home of the bats, & state capitol. Halfway through the tour, we do stop for coffee/ snacks (not included) at a local Austin spot. All bikes are included in the price as well as water during and after the tour. Helmets are required. Make sure to bring comfortable shoes for bike riding and your camera for all the great photo opportunities.

This was a terrific way to see round Austin. We did it on the second day of our holiday and it was a great introduction to what the city has to offer - lots by the way! Chip was a great guide and we covered around 18 miles I believe; the city and drivers are very bike-friendly. Lots of fun and highly recommended.

Cody did a great job in showing us the sights and trails near the downtown area of Austin. The pace was slightly fast, but was very enjoyable. The team has a upbeat spirit when I called to inquire and allowed us to 'try the bike out' before we decided to do the tour. It was a great way to see the hidden areas that you most likely would not venture off into by car or walking. It is a bit of a cost, but you are on vacation... Thank you all for the tour and 'exercise'. Thanks Cody from the 5 sisters.
