All of our guides have individual and unique ties to the Amish community and have always enjoyed showing off the “true” Lancaster County. This rich, immersive experience is personally designed to give you a rare window into the authentic Amish culture. Every meal is an amazing experience!

We we disappointed with the meal. Only water to drink & no refills, no bread. Only 1 meat, 3 vegetables. Dessert was good. When everyone was served, food taken off table & no one offered seconds.

The whole experience was great! The ride thru the country was beautiful, our driver Dale was very informative and our lunch at Mary’s was just fabulous!

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Lancaster! Our guide from loKal was friendly, VERY knowledgeable of the area and the Amish culture. We were a little disappointed that the home we visited was a traditional ranch home, we had assumed it would be an old farm house. BUT, our host Elam and hostess Ester couldn't have been more gracious. Ester was so kind and of course a great cook.... She made us a scrumptious dinner; meatballs, salad, buttered noodles, mashed potatoes w/brown butter, carrots, pickled beets and to top it off, she served apple crisp with ice cream! Elam gave us a tour of their beautiful barn and grounds. Being an animal lover, I especially enjoyed meeting the dogs and gorgeous horses! Conversation easily flowed throughout our tour and we so appreciated hearing about their own personal lives and cultures. THANK YOU ELAM and ESTER for allowing us to visit your beautiful home! We would HIGHLY recommend loKal Experiences. If I may add, when you have had such a beautiful experience, as we did, please remember to tip those that created that!
