We had a marvelous tour of Tabasco and highly recommend it. The historian really took the time to explain the details of the historical roots of Tabasco and this presentation lasted about an hour. Following the presentation, we joined a person tour guide who took us on a private tour of the processing from start to finish. We had a wonderful time and ended up having a great lunch at the 1868 Restaurant on the premises. If you are traveling through this area, seeing Avery Island is a must! We will be back!

Very interesting information, history, and exhibits. Jungle Gardens was amazing! Not only was it gorgeous, but we really enjoyed the information we learned through the self-tour app! We were there with 5 small children, and it kept their interest, which says a lot. Overall superb experience!

This tour is great. Inexpensive and very well done for a self-guided tour on a fully productional facility. Tour can be done in about 45min if you're in a rush, but probably more reasonably in 1-1 1/4 hours. The shop has great merchandise and and lots of cool stuff to try, including being able to taste all Tabasco sauces, and even Tabasco ice-cream. We ate lunch in the restaurant which was pretty good - gumbo was actually really good. Jungle Gardens are pretty exceptional, so well worth making time to drive through them. Again, if you're in a rush and don't stop and get out on the route, you can get through them in about 30min, but would suggest at least 1 hour.
