Ok visit but overpriced for the experience. Maybe it is posted somewhere but we were not aware that they do not run production Friday through Sunday. The tours and shops were open but this was a disappointment as we went on a Sunday. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. The jungle gardens were disappointing as well as the only wildlife we saw was a couple of gators. Your vehicle will get very dirty as the roads are not paved,

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Avery Island to learn more about America’s most popular hot sauce. Only wished we had more time to see the gardens as well. The self guided tour was very informative and easy to follow. The gift shop had every Tabasco item imaginable and allowed tastings of all their sauces and jellies. The highlight was the culinary class we signed up for. Very affordable and included tons of delicious food including bloody mary’s, boudin, gumbo, crawfish etoufee, red beans and rice, and bread pudding. Each item was made even more tasty by the suggested use of a drop or two of a specific flavor of Tabasco. Highly recommend a visit even for non lovers of the brand.
