My husband and I took the 2.5 hour Craigcat tour in August. We booked a 9 am slot because of the Florida sun and afternoon rains. The tour guide was very helpful and instructed us on how to operate the boat safely. There were two other boats beside ours and the guide. My husband drove the Cat and we followed our guide as instructed. The Everglades are truly a beautiful part of Florida and so expansive!! Thank god the guide knew where he was going!! We saw many dolphin along the way, stopped at a Cay to pick shells and the ride was very relaxing yet exhilarating!! The boat has two seats a place for personal items to stay dry, they provided us with a cooler filled with water. There is a canopy overhead if the sun is too strong but highly recommend wearing Sun screen and SPF long sleeve shirts and hat. I had a hat with a chin tie so it wouldn’t blow away. Also would bring a towel the cover your legs and to sit while at the beach. I would highly recommend this tour! We came back to our community and bragged about it to our friends and neighbors. Read the requirements for driving the Cat there are some age restrictions for drivers. I didn’t know what to expect but we both had a fun time and really enjoyed seeing the Everglades and all the dolphins and birds. Truly a special place! I don’t remember our guides name but he gave us some information regarding the Everglades and seeing first hand the devastion when Hurricane Irma came thru and destroyed parts of the glades. The mangroves are a sight to see and you can see Mother Nature repairing itself after the devasting path of Irma! If traveling to SW Florida take the time to do this tour. You will not be disappointed!!

Good time, fun to drive. 2.5 hour trip. They fully explained how to maneuver and power the boats. Then they give you plenty of time to putt out in the no wake zone to get the feel of the boats. Then he will give you a 2 mile practice run following the guide and stop and see if anyone has any issues. FYI, each boat has a dry storage behind the seats. It’s big enough for your 2 hats, sunscreen, 2 phones, 2 sets of flip flops, car keys. Shells you collect if you land on a small beach. Anything more just leave in your vehicle. You don’t need anything else. If off season you can park at the restaurant pkg lot because they are closed. If in season park across the street where the sign says additional parking. Then walk around the right side of the building to the launch dock. The company will email you all the information you will need . Worth the $. Don’t forget to tip your guide. FL is expensive to live .

This was the 2nd time that I have done this boat tour, and it probably won't be the last! It was so fun! The guides knew where to find dolphins and other sea life. The catamarans go faster than what you would think, but were also very safe. Next time you are in the South Florida area, book the tour, you won't regret it!
