Must be 5 years of age or older to be a passenger. Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid drivers license to operate.
It is required that there is 2 people on each craft (excluding the guide boat). One person must ride with the guide for groups with an odd number of participants
Weight Limit is 250lbs per person (2 persons per boat) with no exceptions. This is not our policy but the weight capacity for the vessel. No refunds will be given to those who show up for their tour not meeting the vessel weight requirements.

This was so much fun! Our whole family had a blast and loved seeing the dolphins too! The guide was great and we really enjoyed it.

Communication was great leading up to the day of the booking. However, we got there 30 minutes before our scheduled time like instructed. We checked in with the Marina staff and they instructed us to wait down on the dock and someone will be there to help us. After waiting for over 50 minutes and multiple unanswered calls to Backwater Adventures. It grew clear that Backwater was going to be a no show. After attempting to call again multiple times we were finally able to get ahold of someone and after sometime they were able to confirm that the person scheduled to take us out, was not showing up. Very disappointing experience as we had been looking forward to this adventure our entire trip. Will not be rebooking with Backwater Adventures in the future.

Hey Kathy and Chad, I know we spoke over the phone regarding this but I wanted to respond to the review for our future guests who may be reading. This situation was unfortunate and unforeseen. You had booked through Viator/Tripadvisor back in January for the 13th of February originally and that booking was set and synced with our actual operating platform. The issue came in when you contacted Viator/Tripadvisor shortly after to change your reservation from the 13th to the 15th. We did not have or offer a 3:00 1.5 hour tour on the 15th and since it wasn’t a tour we had actually set up, your information was never changed on our reservation system, only within Viators system. They moved you to a time and tour that didn’t exist on that day when they should not have been able to do that. We actually waited until 3:20 on the 13th trying to get in touch with you or see where you were but we weren’t able to get ahold of you. The reason we didn’t show up on the 15th is because we had canceled our actual tours due to high winds. With that, we had no staff present that day. Whoever you had gotten ahold of that stated that we were simply “not showing up”, was not Backwater Adventure but likely a representative from Viator/TripAdvisor because I had never received communication from you on the 15th. I was glad we got to finally speak yesterday so I could understand what happened and ensure you were fully refunded. I always recommend guests to book direct with the operator when they can to avoid 3rd party mistakes and miscommunication. Unfortunately, operators were out in to a corner with having to work with affiliates such as travel companies and review companies otherwise we get buried to the bottom of the list regardless of our reviews or how long we have been around. I’m hopeful in the near future you will give us another opportunity to book you correctly and give you the tour you looked forward to so much without disappointment. Until then, take care!

Great way to see 10,000 islands on a fun water vehicle. We enjoyed the dolphin viewing and powering around the islands often at a good pace. You will likely get wet and can hit waves but that was part of the fun! Eric was a great guide.
