Belle Meade Guided Mansion Tour with Complimentary Wine Tasting

Overview
History and hospitality...two words that have been at the foundation of Belle Meade for over 200 years. In the 1800s, Belle Meade was one of the largest and wealthiest private estates in Nashville, raising the nation's finest thoroughbred race horses. Having hosted celebrities, presidents, generals, and a wealth of revered turfmen, Belle Meade became Nashville's first attraction. Located just seven miles west of downtown Nashville, today this sanctuary of Southern hospitality offers Guided Tours, Food and Wine Pairings, Bourbon Tastings, Segway Tours, outstanding Gift Shops, Nashville's first Winery, an on-site Restaurant, an Outdoor Game Court, and some of the most beautiful Grounds in Nashville

This would have been a great tour IF they would have given a tour of the ENTIRE mansion. Instead you only get to see the main living quarters and not the adjoining kitchen house that is literally half of the mansion.

Walking the beautiful property was a good experience. You can purchase some wine and walk through the property on your own. The mansion is beautiful but I was disappointed that you cannot take pictures inside. There is an educational video you can watch to give you a glimpse of the terrible conditions that slaves lived in but also highlights some of the customs. The wine tasting was okay.

Thought it was more of a winery tour in an old mansion. Was not what we thought. Very short and interesting but boring compared to the live music all over Nashville.
