The park was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 15, 1966. Many of the park's 43,000 American Civil War artifacts are displayed in the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor Center. We had a terrific time! Amy, Greg, and Fred were just great! We learned so much about America's greatest battle, including its history, the stories of souvenirs, sights along the battlefield, and other anecdotal information. It will never dim in our memories! We highly recommend visiting the museum and battlefield. No other battle site in America is preserved and made accessible this way. Thank you, Amy, Greg, Fred, and the museum.

Excellent tour and well worth the money. Our driver Galen was courteous and informative and helpful; the tour guide at Gettysburg National Park was terrific. Really knew his history and was passionate about it. The small group tour had only 5 people and so we were taken very good care of and Galen dropped us back at our individual hotels. A very pleasant and informative experience and we didn’t have to hassle with ticket purchases, car rentals, driving etc. I highly recommend this tour
