Best of Jackson Hole Wildlife Safari Tour

Overview

Thousands of mule deer, elk, moose, big horn sheep and bison migrate into the valley in search of food each year along with coyotes, fox, bald and golden eagles, swans, and even packs of wolves. This gathering of wintering wildlife makes winter one of the best times to view wildlife in Jackson Hole!

After a full morning in the field we will enjoy lunch together at a local eatery before heading back out for the afternoon. When available, we will take a horse drawn sleigh through the National Elk Refuge into the middle of the largest wild elk herd in North America. Following the sleigh ride, we will head back into the field to spot more wildlife.

The minimum age for wildlife safaris is 8 years old. (Private safaris have no age minimum.)
We have a 48-hour cancellation policy for all single day wildlife safaris. Cancellations made before the cancellation policy goes into effect will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure, and before the day of departure will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations or no-shows on the day of departure will not be refunded. We strongly recommend travel insurance in order to protect you from unforeseen travel interruptions that prevent you from joining us.

Your wildlife safari may stop here. Your guide will educate you on the historical or geological significance of your stop. All stops are dependent on the road conditions, weather conditions and needs or interests of each group.

McKenzie was our guide for the day. She picked us up on time and then took us for a hot breakfast and coffee. Wildlife viewing was the best. She was very knowledgeable about wildlife and the history of the area. We saw moose, eagles, bison, and big horn sheep. We went to the museum and elk refuge too. She went above and beyond. Great introduction to Jackson Hole!

This was our second experience with this company and it lived up to our expectations and more. Our guide Jeffery was fantastic and clearly loved his job. He was extremely knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor and was wonderful company to have for a full day tour. He took memorable pictures for us and introduced us to one of his favorite lunch restaurants, which was well worth it. I highly recommend this tour guide and the company. It is evident they chose highly qualified employees and prioritize the experience of their customers.

Excellent naturalist guide. Very knowledgeable, carried on a great conversation! Never a dull moment. Time flew by. Saw all of the animals on my bucket list, was taken to awesome areas for landscape photography. Clean vehicle, sanitizer readily available. Everyone wore their mask appropriately. Highly recommended!
