What To Expect

Kualoa Ranch

Established in 1850, Kualoa is a 4,000-acre (1,619-hectare) working cattle ranch that extends from the rugged mountains down to the ocean. The terrain includes dense rain forest, open valleys and white-sand beaches. Many areas of this natural paradise can be reached only on foot, horseback or all-terrain vehicle. You may even recognize the scenery as Kualoa Ranch has served as a set for Hollywood movies such as Jurassic Park, Pearl Harbor and Godzilla, and TV shows like Hawaii Five-O, Magnum P.I. and Lost.

Everything was great - the tours, the guides, the scenery, the weather. It was a perfect ending to my first trip yo Hawai'i. I told one of the tour guides that I wanted her job when I retired: get to work outdoors, drive guests through the mountains, and brag about the beauty of the Kualoa Ranch and Hawai'i. If you get the chance to go to Hawai'i, go; and don't forget to make the Kualoa Ranch one of your destination - you won't forget or regret. The specific tours I went on: Jungle Tour, Movie Tour, Aihina Tour. I wish I could remember the names of tour guides so I could give a shout out (Tree was one, and I think Alicia). All four did their job well.

What a fun day! We did the best of Kualoa package which includes the Hollywood movie sites tour, the Jurassic jungle expedition and the Aloha aina tour. We had families members from 11 years old to 83 years old and everyone had a good time. If you are a movie and TV buff, you will enjoy the movie sites tour and want to go home and watch those movies again! The included lunch was decent too. Beautiful views! If you have a car, go to Kualoa Ranch!
