To receive your Alcatraz Island Ticket you must check into the Big Bus Visitor Center one day prior to the Alcatraz Tour date, or before 9am on the date of your Alcatraz Tour.

Your tour time will be assigned 5 days in advance of the tour date. Once a time is assigned we are not able to make any changes, please note your timed entry will be allocated by Alcatraz this will not be able to be personally selected
Hop-on Hop-off tour ticket is valid during operating hours for 48 hours after first use.

This was amazing from the moment we stepped on the first bus, the guides were so knowledgeable and humorous made the tour very exciting. I learned so much about San Francisco that I never new. The guides and staff were really friendly and very very helpful. There is also a shuttle that runs back to union square if you stay in fisherman wharf after the tour. Fantastic one not to be missed.

We bought the city+Alcaraz. After calling we found out we didn’t have to come the day before to get our tickets ahead of time we just needed to be there by noon for a 1:30 departure to Alcatraz. We arrived by 10 and on the bus by 10:30 and didn’t have time to get off any stops before the 2.5hour circle got back. They hurried us on and told us to grab earbuds. They neglected to mention that you need to change the channel to hear the description of what you are driving by! We were more than half way around before we overheard someone learn that English is channel 2! No where on the seats or map they provided did we see that critical information. We barely made it for the Alcatraz tour (thankfully had some bars along to eat). It was interesting and the audio tour good. By time we got back the bus is done. I wouldn’t recommend this combo in one day.

The Big Bus tour was what we had hoped for in touring San Fransisco. The hop on hop off spots were perfectly located. The tour during the day was good but seeing the city at night was amazing. We wish we would have booked the Alcatraz tour for a different day instead of the day of the hop on hop off. It cut the city tour too short.
