Alcatraz was a great tour.. the bus tour was very slow but quite interesting some of the time.. wouldn't do the bus again but would definitely visit Alcatraz again..

The Big Bus San Fransisco Sightseeing and Alcatraz combo is the way to go if you want to see both Alcatraz and get the overall look at San Fransisco. The ease of getting on and off the bus was great and the Alcatraz tour was very good. Highly recommend this way to see a lot in a short time frame.

We decided to take this tour mainly for the Alcatraz part, but I'm glad we had the bus tour as well! Driving and parking in San Francisco is tough at best, so put on your walking shoes and hop on the bus. There were only a few places we wanted to see for sure, so the bus tour made it easy to just stay on at the stops we didn't want to see. We even got off at one and walked around to the next stop to get back on. Only drawbacks were: stops weren't marked as to where to get on and too many people getting on at some stops to be able to ride up top, which was our preferred viewpoint. A little pricey, but in the end, we were glad we did it. Oh, and Alcatraz was super interesting.
