Two components to my poor review of this place: 1. The tour itself: Even under the best of circumstances, this tour isn't for everyone. It's really long, at times it felt interminable. The individual items on the itinerary were beautiful but back-to-back viewing in a small bus felt absolutely brutal. I will concede that there are some who will absolutely love this format - maybe people who just want to sit and be driven around for 12 hours. But that wasn't us. Anyway, this was about half the problem. 2. The guide: The other half was the guide herself. In short, she wasn't very nice. Here too, I will concede that she might have been having a bad day, but still, it didn't help the situation. She was rude at various points - "Does no one listen to me when I say something?" "Why do I even bother saying things" It made me scared to ask her anything. She told one group of visitors on our trip that she was made late by an earlier pickup (us) when in fact she was the one who came 15 mins late to pick us up to begin with. (The 15 mins late arrival wasn't a big deal for us, because the description said it might start late, but to throw us under the bus for the next batch of passengers was just unwarranted.) Lastly, and this is a tricky one to criticize, there was an unruly batch of passengers on the bus. A single mom and her two kids. The kids were noisy, unruly, and watching videos on their devices the whole time while the mom sat in the front and monopolized the phone charger to make TIk Tok videos. Not the driver's fault but she could have asked them to pipe down. It made it hard to listen to the driver. We will certainly not be doing this trip again and cannot recommend this. But YMMV.

My husband and I did the Big Island Tour with Miesha. What an amazing tour guide! He was very informative and had a great sense of humor. We also appreciated him keeping us on schedule. The tour itself was so much fun that it was hard to believe it was a whole day's worth of activities. There was a variety of sites which spoke to the history (past & present) of the main island. Our favorite stop was the black sand beach. We both enjoyed viewing the sea turtles and my husband enjoyed swimming in the ocean.

Our tour guide, Mia, was absolutely wonderful. Both energized and calm, she made the day a blast with tons of knowledge, stories, and history about the island while also making the jam-packed day very smooth and care-free. I'd highly recommend!
