Nahuku - Thurston Lava Tube

Walk along a bridge that gives you a literal inside look at Hawaii, as you follow it to the eerie Thurston Lava Tube, a 600-foot-long (183-meter) cave formed hundreds of years ago by an underground river of magma.

Hilo

Drive through historical Downtown Hilo, the largest city on the island.

Rainbow Falls

This 80-foot falls plunges over a natural lava cave and into the Wailuku River below. On a sunny day, rainbows appear in the mist of the falls, making for a magical view.

Akaka Falls State Park

This towering 442-foot (135-meter) waterfall plummets into a lush ravine at the center of a state park. You’ll enjoy a short walk through the vegetation for an up close view and plenty of photo ops.

Waipi'o Valley

The views stop you in your tracks at the Waipio Valley lookout, where a dramatic backdrop of lush cliffs drops into the sparkling blue ocean

Parker Ranch

Driver through the scenic green pasture of Parker Ranch, home of the Hawaiian cowboys and one of the largest ranches in the US.

Our tour guide Derek was excellent in making our group (of about 6 couples) feel warm and welcome. He was very engaging and knowledgeable of the island and provided space to interact and ask questions. His driving was great and vehicle was nice. The only minor drawback is that with a long tour like that, some stops are shorter than others and can seem a little rushed at points. Overall, I recommend this tour 100%.

This was the BEST trip including all of the major and most beautiful attractions! Our guide beyond amazing - Mia! She told us so much information, but then gave us down time exactly when we needed it. We had 4 adults and 1 child (8) and it was truly the highlight of all of our trips. It was a long day, but went fast and worth every penny and then some.

I did not know what to expect as my party consisted of 4 adults and our 8 year old child. We knew it was going to be a LONG day. Especially 2 days after a LONG day of travel. This blew us away! It was beyond any and all expectations! It was beyond amazing and Mia was the BEST tour guide! We saw most of the island! The best, most fun day seeing all of the highlights the island had to offer. Truly, would recommend to any and everyone! Worth every penny and more!
