Overview

The price listed is for all 10 seats in a Mercedes Sprinter van. This custom private tour starts at the Hilo Port or any Hilo location, if driving over from Kona/Waikoloa we can meet at Target.

You will see the Best of the Volcanoes National Park, Rainbow Falls, Japanese Gardens, the most famous black sand beach Punaluʻu and possible turtles! For other optional stops see below.

With Private Tours you have the ability to spend more time seeing what you want. If there are things you want to see please contact me. I am happy to modify tours based on your needs.

Optional Stops/Sights and frequently requested are listed below. We can usually fit 1 to 4 of the Optional stops depending on time:
* Volcano Winery (usually about an hour, $10 and $20 flights) OR Hilo Coffee Farm
* Orchid Farm or Big Island Candies

This is a 7 Hour Tour so it is possible to see all these locations with this tour and we guarantee to get you back on the Ship on time.

Decided to visit the Volcanoes National Park while visiting friends on Oahu. So glad we chose Big Island VIP! Jodi was very helpful in setting up our itinerary, took care of all the details. Rob was our tour guide...he was fantastic, very knowledgeable of geology, plant life, and Hawaiian history! Not only did we see the active Kilauea vent, but he was able to get us into the park before the crowds, felt like we had the park to ourselves! Being in a comfortable private luxury tour van was also great, no waiting for others to get from site to site. Ended the day at Punalu'u black sand beach, took pictures with Hawaiian sea turtles sunning themselves on the beach! And the best part of it all was the pictures that Rob took of us, which were included at no extra cost, linked to their website. Mahalo Jodi and Rob, we will see you again!

Jodi was a great tour guide! We saw so many sights and she answered all my kids (7 and 9) questions. The Volcano national park and the lava tube were some of our favorite sites. Also loved the rainbow falls. Glad we decided to do this.

It was a very thorough, very detailed, very interactive tour that will take up most of your day but is an experience like no other! Rob knows the island inside and out and can answer anything and everything that comes to mind! He won't hesitate to roast you too so if you are hypersensitive in your feelers, don't be. Have you some fun!
