Overview

We pick you up! Our tour offers a driver/seasoned local guide who will pick you up at your accommodation within 3 miles of city center (One North Pack Square) or will meet you at a convenient location in downtown Asheville if you are staying outside that distance. The excursion will take you through beautiful mountain scenery on the way visit three impressive waterfalls and two protected forests as well as a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway (weather permitting) to discover the amazing views surrounding this iconic road that connects two National Parks.

We provide all window, captain's chair seating in a comfortable, climate controlled van. Drinks/snacks are included.

IMPORTANT Guest should be prepared for walking approximately 3 miles on the hiking portion of this tour over a period of 2 hours, including stops at the falls and you should feel comfortable walking this distance before making a booking.

We will return to Asheville by approximately 1:30 p.m.

What To Expect

Blue Ridge Parkway

The tour includes a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, (when open), an American treasure well known for its scenic beauty and remarkable mountain views. (Note: During winter months the Blue Ridge Parkway may be closed due to ice and snow)

Pisgah Forest

Sit back , relax and enjoy this stunning drive to our first waterfall in Pisgah National Forest before traveling a short distance to visit two more falls in a beautiful state forest. Along the way you'll listen to interesting stories about the rich history of the area that has been attracting people to the area for generations.

DuPont State Recreational Forest

Wear comfortable shoes or hiking boots for the approximately 3 mile hiking portion of the tour on trails rated easy to moderate. There are stops along the way that will give you time to enjoy falls, a snack and drink that are included. Bring a small day pack if you have one. Your tour concludes with transport back to your hotel, leaving you the rest of the afternoon to enjoy at your leisure.

Our guide Keith was excellent and knowledgable about the area. He made this tour one of the best experiences of our trip.

We are so glad we treated ourselves to this guided waterfall tour. The owner, Keith, was very knowledgeable about the area and was very pleasant company. Total hiking was about 5 miles at a moderate level. We definitely saw things we would never have otherwise seen. If we're in the area again, we might ask him to take us to some different waterfalls!

Our Asheville visit highlight. Keith's knowledge and stories held our attention on the way to the falls. We had planned our own waterfall hike for the next day, but this one took us on trails we would never have found on our own. The hike was a good, took a couple of hours, so we got some exercise, too. We had a great time, one that we could not have duplicated on our own. If you go to Asheville, make sure to take some time and get outta town and see the waterfalls. Snacks were provided, but I was glad that I had a good breakfast before the 5 hour tour began.
