What an amazing tour! We visited three waterfalls in the vicinity of Asheville. Along the way, the tour guide, Keith, shared the history of the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Vanderbilt's contributions to the area, and played a CD of even more stories. I enjoyed learning while winding through the forest to get to the waterfalls. The hikes were easy, and Keith walked at a comfortable pace. You'll have plenty of time to walk around and take pictures of the waterfalls, and Keith cautions when an area is particularly dangerous. The tour is well worth $54!

Keith picked us up from our hotel in a comfortable van and drove us to the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was a beautiful drive and we appreciated the history he gave us while driving. We then headed to DuPont State Park for a hike to waterfalls and a covered bridge. He was sensitive to the slower pace a couple of us needed. Drinks and snacks were provided. The cost is very reasonable for all that was included in a fun day trip!
