Blue Ridge Parkway Waterfalls Hiking Tour from Asheville

Overview

We pick you up! Our tour offers a driver/seasoned local guide who will pick you up at your accommodation within 3 miles of city center (One North Pack Square) or will meet you at a convenient location in downtown Asheville if you are staying outside that distance. The excursion will take you through beautiful mountain scenery on the way visit three impressive waterfalls and two protected forests as well as a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway (weather permitting) to discover the amazing views surrounding this iconic road that connects two National Parks.

We provide all window, captain's chair seating in a comfortable, climate controlled van. Drinks/snacks are included.

IMPORTANT Guest should be prepared for walking approximately 3 miles on the hiking portion of this tour over a period of 2 hours, including stops at the falls and you should feel comfortable walking this distance before making a booking.

We will return to Asheville by approximately 1:30 p.m.

What To Expect

Blue Ridge Parkway

The tour includes a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, (when open), an American treasure well known for its scenic beauty and remarkable mountain views. (Note: During winter months the Blue Ridge Parkway may be closed due to ice and snow)

Pisgah Forest

Sit back , relax and enjoy this stunning drive to our first waterfall in Pisgah National Forest before traveling a short distance to visit two more falls in a beautiful state forest. Along the way you'll listen to interesting stories about the rich history of the area that has been attracting people to the area for generations.

DuPont State Recreational Forest

Wear comfortable shoes or hiking boots for the approximately 3 mile hiking portion of the tour on trails rated easy to moderate. There are stops along the way that will give you time to enjoy falls, a snack and drink that are included. Bring a small day pack if you have one. Your tour concludes with transport back to your hotel, leaving you the rest of the afternoon to enjoy at your leisure.

Perfect way to enjoy the Parkway, some parts of the forest and see 3 beautiful waterfalls! Tony was an amazing and friendly guide. Snacks and water provided. We stopped at some gorgeous lookout points. As a solo traveler, this was a wonderful way to see waterfalls and the mountains without having to navigate unfamiliar territory. I highly recommend this tour! Thank you Tony!

This was a fantastic tour! It was seamless from pick up to drop off. Keith was the best tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and made this a fun tour for everyone including my children (7 & 9 years old). We loved each stop and visiting the waterfalls. Each waterfall was unique and breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this small group tour.

My wife and I enjoyed the hiking to the waterfalls. Nature at its finest. The waterfalls were beautiful. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and we soaked in everything we could. Very friendly and sociable. The 5 hours we were on the tour didn't feel like it. Fun conversations and facts.
