I really did enjoy this tour. Keith was very knowledgeable about the the state parks, and the history/background of Asheville and the mountains. However, the site says that this tour/hike is at a comfortable pace. It is NOT a comfortable pace, the guide was very fast. I am young and I do walk and exercise often. So, I was fine but it was indeed very fast paced. We had an older couple that couldn't keep up and there was drama because they couldn't go see any of the waterfalls since the guide insisted they were too slow and were holding up the rest of the group, while also refusing to let them proceed to the waterfall. They shouldn't advertise that this is a comfortable, easy hike when it really is not. Even though I was with the tour members who were fast walkers, once we got to most of the waterfalls all we had time to do was snap a photo or two and then leave. It would have been nice to actually enjoy the scene instead of having to remember it from photos. I probably won't go back on this tour again.

Thank you for your comments, they truly are very helpful. The hiking portion of this tour is easy to moderate in terms of difficulty as defined by the State Forest guidelines. ( which is what we advertise). We apologize that you felt rushed. If the guide is observing that someone is having a hard time with the walk we make sure they can see the falls without having to descend the stairs or other obstacles that could create further difficulty for that individual. We always discuss this with the individual in question ( they did see the falls from above) . If the group gets too spread out as it did on the day you are describing with walkers going too far ahead the guide has to go back and forth to make sure everyone stays on track, ( ideally everyone stays together, which is what we usually do). We have taken steps to make sure that does not occur again. On this tour we walk approximately 3 miles on the hiking portion over 2 hours at pace of about 1 1/2 miles per hour , including stops at the falls and you should feel comfortable walking this distance . Again, this problem has been addressed, we sincerely thank you for your comments and your time in writing them and we are glad that you enjoyed the tour .

My husband and I decided to take a trip to Asheville to see the fall foliage. We booked a tour with Keith at Tumblestone Tours and had an AMAZING time! Keith picked us up from our hotel and there were 5 people on our tour (including Keith). He drove us up Blue Ridge Parkway and we saw amazing views and took so many pictures. Then went to 3 different waterfalls that were absolutely beautiful! This tour was the highlight of our vacation!!! Keith was so great and so knowledgeable about the area. The drive was so nice and the views were just beautiful! Keith provided everything we needed for the tour which was so nice and went out of his way to make sure we all had a great time. I highly recommend his tour if you are ever in Asheville. You will not be disappointed! My husband and I are already talking about coming back and doing a spring/summer tour with Keith. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for the wonderful experience!!!

Keith is an excellent tour guide! The group is limited to 8 so it’s a nice small size. He gives you the history of the area and is very knowledgeable. The hikes are very easy and you get to see 3 beautiful water falls. He provides water, snacks and hiking poles if you need. Yes, you can go to these areas on your own but it’s worth doing the tour to learn about the area and be able to sightsee instead of worrying about driving. Keith was even kind enough to send us info on some other hikes and waterfalls for us to do on our own. Worth doing this tour for sure!
