Overview

Discover the natural sights and scenery surrounding the Blue Ridge Parkway in Great Smoky Mountain National Park in an active way on a hiking tour with transport through the mountains from Asheville. You'll drive through some beautiful mountain scenery on the way visit three waterfalls and two protected forests . IMPORTANT Before booking this tour please know that we will be walking approximately 3 miles on the hiking portion of this tour over 2 hours at pace of about 1 1/2 miles per hour, including stops at the falls and you should feel comfortable walking this distance before making a booking. Snacks, drinks, and hotel pickup and drop-off by small-group vehicle (all window seats) are included. Tour is limited to seven people for a more personalized experience. Alternate tour routes are taken when the Blue Ridge Parkway is closed.
Departure between 8:00 am and 8:20 am at your area hotel within 3 miles of City Center. An exact time will be provided by test the day before your tour

What To Expect

Blue Ridge Parkway

Your tour begins with pickup from your Asheville area hotel or accommodation by an air-conditioned van, which has all captains chairs for the drive to and along the Blue Ridge Parkway when open, which is also Great Smoky Mountain National Park an American treasure well known for its scenic beauty and remarkable mountain views. Sit back , relax and enjoy this stunning drive to our first waterfall in Pisgah National Forest before traveling a short distance to visit two more falls in a beautiful state forest. Along the way you'll listen to interesting stories about the rich history of the area that has been attracting people to the area for generations from your local Asheville guide. Wear comfortable shoes or hiking boots for the easy to moderate hiking portion of the tour. You should feel comfortable walking approximately 3.5 miles at one time during the hiking portion of the tour with stops along the way that will allow you time to enjoy falls, a snack and drink that is provided. Bring a small day pack if you have one. Safety is always a priority! After hiking, your tour concludes with transport back to your hotel, leaving you the rest of the afternoon to enjoy at your leisure.

Kristin combines an incredibly beautiful hike to several waterfalls with a professional photo shoot. The result is a wonderful and fun hike with top-notch portraits in stunning settings. There isn't a better value for your tour dollars and you end up with fabulous photos too! I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Wow! I cannot say enough great things about Keith & this tour. This was an amazing half day trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Pisgah National Forest & DuPont National Forest! Keith was SO knowledgeable about everywhere we visited plus more. He was accommodating & always ensure we were well hydrated. I would 100% recommend this tour if you are looking to see waterfalls & explore outside of the downtown area of Asheville. He will even recommend things to do & places to eat! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We are new to hiking and wanted to book a guided tour to take the guess work out of it. It was fantastic! Keith picked us up at our Air B&B, was a wealth of knowledge about the history of the area and places to eat when we got back to Asheville :) Keith took us to 3 beautiful waterfalls and was informative along the way. It was a very enjoyable trip and we will definitely book with Keith again when we return to Asheville!
