I read great reviews of Boone. Others told us to go to Drayton or Middleton but we opted for this 1. Wish we had listened. We took the tour w/ transportation. Lvg CHS, the driver took us thru Mt. Pleasant, pointing out various points of interest, historic sites, etc. When we arrived @ Boone @ 11:15 our driver was told that there were only 2 Gullah presentations that day (from what I've read most people have said the Gullah presentation is the best part of the tour) - the 1st @ 11:15 & the 2nd @ 2:45. We were leaving @ 2:15 so it was either catch the 11:15 or miss it. You would think the tour company would be up to speed on what was happening @ the plantation so they could time the transportation to arrive on time for certain timed events. Had the driver known the tour was @ 11:15 maybe he could have spent less time driving us around Mt. Pleasant. Fortunately the driver pulled to the side of the road (a no-no he said & that he would probably be admonished) where the Gullah presentation was being held so we could run to get there. We missed just the first few minutes so we were appreciative that he did that for us. While the tour was interesting, I was just expecting so much more. A few of the slave cabins were set up in the manner of how they "think" they would have been set up. Doesn't anyone know? Unfortunately due to the time of year, there wasn't much in bloom in the gardens.

My friend and I booked this tour and found it lived up to our expectations. It was well run and well laid out. The old slaves quarters were especially interesting and informative. Would recommend this tour if you have the time.

Very repetitive. Paid $55 each and could have driven and paid $19 each for seniors. Left us there for three hours. Too long. My friend in Charleston said Middleton is much better.

Thank you for taking our tour to Boone Hall Plantation. Of course, you can drive out to the plantation on your own. Our tour includes round trip transport from downtown for guests without a car or those that don't want to worry about driving. We offer commentary along the way about historic Mt. Pleasant and most guests think that our timing is just right at Boone Hall. All tours are included with your admission through Adventure Sightseeing, so your schedule and what you would like to do is up to you. We find this gives our guests the most flexibility while there. We hope to see you another time.
