Too old to be college students too young to understand what it takes to guide a group of people nor how to behave as a guide instead of a baby sitter. English not up to par for a tour guide. Often not know what the right words to choose to describe what they want to convey.

We booked this trip two days ahead at the main office. We were charged 169 dollars each for the three of us. The trip was good mainly because of Brian and the drivers, but I noticed when I got back to the hotel that we had not been charged the 149 dollars each advertised in the brochure to which our receipt had been stapled. I went specially to the head office the next day to query this and was told the discount (which merely said "149 dollars each to end Sept" no year mentioned) was for last year. I asked then why did it not say Sept 2018 and was given no reason. I asked why there were loads of these leaflets on display advertising this discount and was again given no valid reason or apology. He again refused to refund the difference. This was a Manager too, to whom I had been referred. Very dishonest and rude behaviour. These misleading leaflets were on display the day after I complained, so looks like a case of deliberately misleading people. This was a special 18th birthday trip for my daughter. Peter, Kari and Louisa.

We are very sorry to hear that you had an issue of this kind on our tour. Empire Vacations is a tour operator but there are many companies in between that are selling our tickets. Unfortunately they had brochures from last year and the manager you talked to is not member of our organization. Will definitely contact them to investigate this issue. I hope will see you again on our tour. Mike Amadeo

We enjoyed seeing the sights. However, the guide had an accent, was hard to understand, boring and repeated himself. We speak English but the other translator was translating so half the time we couldn't hear. For $169 pp, we had higher expectations. Very disappointing.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. All of our guides are carefully selected, trained and constantly monitored. Will definitely investigate. Thanks Mike Empire Team
