We enjoyed our tour. However, we purchased the Go Boston card from Costco, thinking that the tour would take us close to the sites included on the card and they don't.

This trolley tour might not have as many stops as some of the others but it was easy to get on a trolley whereas we saw huge lineups for the other trolley. Our driver and commentator had a good sense of humour and heaps of knowledge. She made us feel very welcome

This tour is perhaps best suited for people who are visiting Boston for the first time or a short time, and want to get their bearings quickly. Beyond that, I found it a bit light on real insight. The guide was pleasant and quite funny at times, but when I later passed some of the other trolley tours in the street, I could hear that they were getting a lot more information and their route also seemed more comprehensive too. Maybe worth paying a little more for that. This tour also seemed to skirt around certain landmarks in a bit of a 'too bad you missed that' kind of way - the driver alluded to where sights were, but the bus was sailing past without stopping so it was hard to know for sure which buildings he was talking about. I didn't tip.
