We went out on the Boyton Canyon tour when we first arrived in Sedona. Received great information about the history of the area, geography and where to get some good eats too! Good way to get the lay of the land before venturing out on our on... AND found that it was the MOST inexpensive tour in town!

Went on this tour this morning with April as the guide. She is local and incredibly knowledgeable, but she had a sing-songy way of talking that was incredibly annoying. The bus driver whizzed past formations as she was describing them, making it impossible to get decent photographs. April gave a little history, shared stories about movies and actors that are connected to Sedona, and talked a lot about surrounding towns and their history. Also mentioned a lot of restaurant and shops that I guess they wanted us to patronize. They did give us bottled water and a cookie, which was appreciated. If you're looking for a superficial tour, this is it. If you're looking for something more serious, forget it.
