My 11, 9, and 7 year old kids loved this! The guide was around to help if people got stuck, but we never needed it. There was enough challenge for them to think and get excited about coming up with their answer, but not so much that anyone got frustrated or defeated. Miraculously, they all worked together and didnāt fight, which was unexpected for my crew and the best proof that it was fun. Afterwards, the youngest hung out to pet the donkeys for a bit while the other two went to pan for gold. The 11 year old was reluctant to pan, thinking it would be boring (or he was too cool), but he ended up getting into it and they all 3 did that for at least an hour and a half before hunger took over. Had we planned better and brought lunch, I think they would have stayed at it even longer. All the staff was great, helping my youngest find some gold when he was struggling. I admit that I started getting into it when I was trying to help the youngest as well. We did not do the mine tour, but I heard others say good things about it. Overall, totally recommend.
