Overview

With more than 265 acres for you to explore at the Bronx Zoo and over 10,000 animals your Bronx Zoo Admission ticket will give you unlimited access to a host of premium exhibits and activities. This includes JungleWorld, Bug Carousel and Nature Trek (Weather Permitting). Also, Congo Gorilla Forest is Free during the months of Jan-Mar.

The following attractions are closed for the season and will reopen in the Spring – Zoo Shuttle, Butterfly Garden, Children’s Zoo, Wild Asia Monorail and Dinosaur Safari.

We are committed to providing safe and healthy experiences for our community. Changes to exhibits and park operations will happen. We will provide advance notice, when possible, but adjustments may also be due to unforeseen conditions.

Thank you for understanding if some exhibits/animals are not available on the day you choose to visit.

My boys have watched The Zoo on TV for years. Their first visit to The Bonx Zoo didn't disappoint. Clean, friendly, lush, spacious, and everything they hoped it would be. The education and conservation efforts are apparent throughout. Very well done, and a must see with or without kids.

We enjoyed seeing the animals. Not much choice of food if you get hungry. Park could use more signing and some beautification.

On our recent visit to New York, we joined our daughter and son in law at the Bronx Zoo. The weather forecast was for rain, but since they are zoo members and there was no cost involved, we decided to risk the bad weather. As it turned out it did not rain and the clouds kept what could have been a hot July day comfortable. We only spent two hours in the park but still got to see lots of animals. We spent some time with the giraffes, okapi, flamingos, sea lions, red pandas (always sleeping), bison, rhinos, water birds and tigers. But my favorites are always the gorillas. They don’t move around much, but they are so fascinating to watch. We left the park around lunch time, which was just as well since their food prices are kind of outrageous. But I know there is so much more to see and do, and I can’t wait to go back.
