Brooklyn Food Tour: The Flavors of Williamsburg

Overview
This walking food tour is a window into what makes this neighborhood so special. You'll experience the historic roots of the area at Northside Bakery which specializes in authentic Polish pierogies and desserts. From there, you'll visit the "Best Pizza" shop in town, and have a sit down food and drink stop at Tacombi. The tour ends with a dessert stop, a functioning chocolate factory! Between food stops, your expert guide will show you the sights of the area, including breathtaking waterfront views of the Manhattan Skyline, and narrate the history of one of New York's most colorful neighborhoods.

We made the tour yesterday 8DEC17. Tourguide was there even before the time, she did a very, very good job!! She was explaining everything, was answering every questions and was very exciting... she is really loving her job! We made 6 different stops, starting with Pizza over some Polish food and ending up with sweets of the French area. I highly recommend this tour!!!

Had some family fun during the long Thanksgiving weekend on the Williamsburg Brooklyn food tour. Walter, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and interesting and kept the tour going and just the perfect pace. We learned the history of the Wiliamsburg area and tasted some wonderful local food including bagels, barbecue, pizza, hot sauces, chocolate...The tour ended with the most delicious homemade ice cream I've ever had. I highly recommend this to out-of-towners and natives alike. We live in the NY area and had a great time and learned a lot.

I recently did the Williamsburg Bites tour with my wife and son (age 21). We all enjoyed the tour. Our guide, Walter, was excellent. He told very interesting stories about the food, the neighborhood and it's history. The food was either excellent (BBQ, pizza and bagels), very good (pirogies) or "what were they thinking?" (the chocolate was awful). Overall, we had a really good time, although I personally did not find Williamsburg the most interesting neighborhood - maybe because I grew up in Queens.
