I never know what to do with my parents when they come visit the city. This time I brought my mom on this tour, and it was a best way to spend the afternoon together. We learned so much from our tour guide Doug, who made sure to answer all the questions that the group had. My mom was thrilled. Next time she visits, we'll likely go on another Turnstile Tour. Well worth the price of admission.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable tour, with detailed explanations of so many aspects of the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The old hospital was especially interesting and a little creepy (wondering what's inside of that old building?!?!). Our guide Andrew was a pleasure to be with. He really knows his stuff. My only complaint is that I wanted to see some of the old housing which I know is still there. It might currently be off limits. But the rest of the tour, particularly the dry docks, is well worth your time. This visit was well organized and highly recommended. And I will surely book more of their tours.

I'm a resident of Brooklyn, but I've never visited the Navy Yard in all the years I've lived here! This tour was definitely worth the 2 hours we spent walking around, and getting on and off the tour bus! Andrew was so well informed, interesting and articulate, I could have stayed another hour! We not only learned about its historical past, but the Navy Yard as a current home to over 400 businesses and 7,000 people, and its goal of employing another 10,000 people – by 2020!! Definitely a worthwhile tour!!
