Overview

Enjoy the beauty and excitement of Browns Canyon National Monument on a half day whitewater rafting tour down the Arkansas River. Your guide will go over safety procedures, paddling techniques and tell you about the area’s unique history, flora and fauna. This tour departs directly from the River Runners Browns Canyon outpost, a riverside property just south of Buena Vista, Colorado. Transportation is provided from the take-out at Hecla Junction back to River Runners. All gear is included in the price of the trip. Choose from 10 am and 2 pm departure times (check-in is 45 minutes prior).

This was our second time doing River Runners and it was awesome again! Tanner was an EXCELLENT guide. All the gear fit and was great. They have remodeled the building, restrooms are very nice and clean. The customer service when arriving was excellent and very efficient. We would go again and request Tanner! We had a ton of fun!

Excellent time!!! Our guide was Austin and he was awesome! I was a little nervous bringing my kids on a whitewater rafting excursion but Austin made everyone on our boat feel comfortable & confident. He was so funny & knew the river so well. He made our first rafting trip a blast!!! We were all grateful we had him as our guide!!

First of all, book a rafting trip! I was a little nervous at first but OMG, it was so much fun! Do it!! Second, book with these guys!! Everything was awesome, organized, and fun. The whole crew was great and comical. But our guide was the best!! Matt was such an awesome guide. I couldn't have asked for a better guide. The conversation was great and he was just super awesome! We did half day in Brown's Canyon. Plenty of fun rapids, adrenaline, and Matt helped to make some of those rapids extra fun. Definitely recommend River Runners!! Thanks again! We loved it!!
