Everyone loved. Great adventure. Only reason I am giving a 4 star is because I have been on rapids in other states that are moving very fast. This just wasn’t challenging enough.

So glad that you enjoyed yourself and your New Wave experience. Yes, the Nenana River is not known to be a crazy challenging whitewater river. We do have the smallest boats out on the water which offers up a more splashy ride than others. With the river being glacially fed safety is our top priority. I am glad to hear you enjoyed your time with New Wave but understand how the river may have left you wanting if you were looking for a more challenging run.

The New Wave staff made this a GREAT experience. The gear-up and safety briefings were serious - and the guide made them fun as well. Our on-raft guide Tommy was knowledgeable about the geology and the river. He made the trip down the canyon and memorable afternoon on the river.
